This year's Lambertville Shadfest (the popular Delaware River festival celebrating the water quality improvement that brought shad fish back to the river) will feature a demonstration of Native American shad preparation. Learn how the Lenape tribe cooked and preserved this important part of their diet by smoking it on wooden planks over an open fire. This demonstration will be located to the rear of the Food Court on Ferry Street. Shad Fest 2010 runs from April 24-25, 12:30 TO 5:30 PM in Lambertville.
